Guerrero is one of the states which along with Mexico City make up the thirty-two states of the United Mexican States .

Its capital is the city of Chilpancingo. Bordered on the north by the states of Mexico (216 km ) and Morelos ( 88 km ) northwest with the state of Michoacan ( 424 km ) northeast with the state of ( 128 km) Puebla , the east with the state of Oaxaca (241 km ) and south by the Pacific ocean (500 km).

Tourism is the economic activity that more resources leaves the state , as it provides 30,689,750 pesos to the total state GDP and employs 140,000 workers .

The main tourist centers in the state are Taxco , Zihuatanejo and Acapulco. The guerrerenses resorts are very popular because of its proximity to Mexico City .
